The Piledrivers Formed in mid 2000 from the rebellion of the killer Angels .We started with just a few members ,HAMMER Holland 24 (now with ACR) ,Tennessee , Maverick And Myself Then Named Fishkiller . The squad came about due to the total dissatisfaction of Killer Angels members with the situation there .The formation of Piledrivers was due in no small part to hammer's confidence in Ironfish to run a squad .The initial website hosted at homestead.com was built in record time (overnight) and promptly submitted to Novalogic. We soon grew to become one of the largest squads on Novaworld boasting some 32 members including the top advanced players when the squad split in early 2001.
Due to popular demand the squad rose from the ashes again in may of that year , and many of the members signed up again . we can proudly state that we are the best advanced squad for Af3 there has ever been . our members have all chosen to progress from the easy game of auto targeting to the advanced game where you have to find the enemy and aim for yourself , although we by no means reject or shun auto lock players . All comers are welcome to join be they newbies or veterans young or old .the only requirements of membership are that you play by the squad rules and own a copy of AF3 ,it has always been that way ,and it always will be .
In July of 2001 Homestead decided that it would be a great idea for them to start charging for their web hosting services , we decided otherwise and found ourselves a new home here at geocities . The new site took considerably longer to build than the first (4 days and nights !!!) due to having to learn to use new software to build it (you have no idea how many times it was restarted) but I think that the results are worth it .
so that's the past , what of the future ? We shall continue to grow and increase both in strength and number .we will hone our skills and stand ready against those that would dare to challenge us ,and we will read your musings in our guestbook .
On this day July 19, 2005 General Disturbed has retired and had past down the title of General Of The Army to Lonwolf On this day, September 1, 2003, a changing of the guard has taken place. Generals Chunder and Metalkill retire with the highest of honors, placing the squad in the very capable hands of Lt.Col.Disturbed. Others to retire include Trayn, Lady Trayn, Jogwarrior, Old Sarge .... The new General Of The Army, Gen. Disturbed, vows to make the Piledrivers again, the most feared Army in AF3. Nighttrain and his friends have been dishonorably discharged from Piledrivers for threatening my family, harrassing me and/or malicious actions to my email account, hasta la vista baby.
On August 18, 2005 after long hours of sit down talking between the pd`s and the tp`s we joined forces to unight the two squads in doing this we still have the two squad the pd`s squad is our af3 squad and the tp`s squad will know become our first person shooter squad , I am looking forward to the union of our squads and to having a squad i can join to play in fps games.I (LonWolf )would like to take on second to welcome all tp`s to the pd af3 squad and to thank you for allowing me to join tp`s fps squad. We shall be a force to recon with.
General Disturbed.PD gets a score of 103 kills and is inducted into the World Domination League on July 14, 2004 !
